Do you sit down at your desk, open your email, and look up to find that it’s 11am? If so, this week’s lifehack is for you! Create a distraction free zone first thing in the morning so you can tackle important tasks right away. (That means no email first thing in the morning. Seriously.)

Welcome to MarketerGizmo’s Weekly Lifehacks For Marketers, I’m Andrea and I’m here to bring you this week’s lifehack.

This week’s lifehack is all about productivity!

*Sigh* Being productive *sigh* not always easy. That end of the day brain drain is real, and everybody feels it, every once and a while

*cough cough* everyday.

Despite how it may feel when you wake up in the morning, studies have actually shown that people tend to be the most productive in the early hours of the day. Of course for some of us that means AFTER we’ve had our first coffee fix.

This week’s lifehack is to stop allowing distractions in the morning.

When you know tomorrow is going to be a busy day, try getting into the office a little early. Just don’t allow any early morning distractions like email or other unproductive tasks to invade your A.M. sanctuary.

As soon as you get to your desk get started on your more difficult tasks for the day while your productivity is at its highest.

Anything that doesn’t absolutely have to be done right away in the morning can wait. As much as possible organize your day so that your less important tasks are done later. That way you can take advantage of your early morning productivity.
